Colour Blocking

Colour blocking seems to a be a trend that has taken over the fashion world but for some people the thought of wearing so many colours at once can be daunting.

For those people my tips are...
-Make sure the colours suit your complexion, the last thing you want when wearing a colour blocking outfit is to look washed out
-Break up the bright colours by wearing just one colour blocking item
-Use accessories such as handbags, jewellry or shoes to colour block rather than wearing complete outfits

Here's an outfit I put together to show you how you can incorporate the colour blocking trend in to your wardrobe without jumping in all at once!

Summer Hues

Brown hues have always seemed like an Autumn trend. But, I grew up in a small town in country NSW, so when I think of summer in Australia I tend to think of brown hues, that's probably why this summer, especially, I have been drawn to brown accessories. I have been carrying a brown handbag and matching purse, I just bought a brown case for my new Kindle e-reader and I even tried my hand at brown nail polish!

My biggest tip for injecting brown hues is to not go over board, wearing too much of one colour can make you look drab. Instead, try mixing in one accessory like a killer pair of boots.

Here are a few examples of how easy it is to inject brown hues in to your summer...

Welcome!

Welcome to la bella vita.

La bella vita is Italian for the beautiful life. Not only is it one of my favourite quotations, it's also one of my tattoos. It's a daily reminder that beauty can be found everywhere and to cherish and enjoy life. And now it's the inspiration for my blog.
